Dish of the Japanese food kou

The Izu Peninsula is surrounded by the Sagami and Suruga seas in front, and the Amagi mountains behind—a perfect location for sourcing the finest seasonal ingredients. KOU is a private Japanese restaurant nestled quietly in the villa district of Izu Kogen. To ensure an intimate experience, we welcome only two groups for lunch and two groups for dinner per day.

The flavors of seasonal blessings change delicately through three stages: Hashiri (the early harvest), Shun (the peak season), and Nagori (the lingering farewell flavors). Chef Jun Fukiya crafts each dish with his unique sensibility, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the authentic joy of Japanese culinary traditions. We invite you to relax as if you were in your own home while enjoying our seasonal cuisine and sake.
